The Glyde Inn Named Finalist in Good Food Ireland 20th Anniversary Awards 2026
We’re delighted to share some very exciting news from Annagassan – The Glyde Inn has been named a finalist in the Good Food Ireland® 20th Anniversary Awards 2026, in the category of Pub Experience of the Year.
It’s a wonderful honour for our family and our entire team to be recognised among some of the very best food and hospitality businesses in Ireland.
A proud moment for The Glyde Inn
For us, The Glyde Inn has always been about much more than serving good food.
It’s about creating a warm Irish welcome, celebrating the incredible produce on our doorstep and giving our guests a reason to slow down, stay awhile and enjoy the experience.
From our seafood restaurant overlooking the coast, to our traditional bar, newly renovated lounge and beachside patio, we’ve worked hard to create a place that feels genuinely connected to Annagassan and its surroundings.
Being shortlisted for Pub Experience of the Year is particularly meaningful because it recognises the experience we strive to create for our guests every day.
Celebrating Irish food and hospitality
Good Food Ireland has been championing Ireland’s food producers, restaurants, pubs and hospitality businesses for two decades, making the organisation’s 20th Anniversary Awards a particularly special occasion.
We’re incredibly proud to be part of this year’s finalists.
Our food is rooted in the wonderful produce available locally, with seafood playing a starring role. From Carlingford oysters and Clogherhead langoustines to Dunany crab and locally sourced mussels, we love showcasing the incredible produce of the Irish coast.
But great food is only part of the experience.
For us, hospitality is about the people who walk through our doors, the team who look after them and the atmosphere that makes them want to come back.
From Annagassan to the national stage
The Glyde Inn has been part of life in Annagassan for generations, with the pub dating back to 1770.
Today, we’re proud to continue that tradition while also looking to the future – developing new experiences, events and ways for people to discover our little corner of the Irish coast.
To be recognised on a national stage is a fantastic achievement for our whole team and for Annagassan and County Louth.

The awards
The Good Food Ireland 20th Anniversary Awards 2026 will take place on Monday, 16 November 2026, at the InterContinental Dublin, where the winners will be announced.
We’re incredibly proud to be heading to Dublin as a finalist for Pub Experience of the Year 2026.
Whatever happens on the night, being named a finalist is something we’re already very proud of.
