The Glyde Inn in Ireland's Ancient East

The Glyde Inn was awarded National Pub of The Year and Irish Food Pub of the Year 2018 at the Irish Pub Awards in RDS.

Traditional Family Run Irish Pub

To take the humble historic Irish public house and over a period of some 40 years to create a warm, welcoming and hospitable venue to stop by for a drink or a bite to eat is a reward in itself. To share it with others even more so.

The pub at The Glyde Inn is everything you could ask for.

We have won 'Pub of The Year', 'Best Beer Garden of the year' and received The James Joyce award for the most authentic Irish pub.

Why not come and visit us? Sit by the sea and take a well earned break while chatting or reading or just breathing it all in. We serve good quality food and amongst a well stocked bar of craft beers is the locally brewed Linn Duachaill beer, Dan Kelly cider, and he renowned Listoke Gin. Our cocktail bar is soon to be unveiled and if your tastes are of a more barista leaning we supply the locally roasted Koffy coffee.

The pub was established in 1770. The proprietors today are Paul and Ann O'Neill, who have built up the business since 1976.

The bar has maintained its original authentic Irish look, untouched and unhurried by the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Traditional Irish music is held regularly in the lounge attracting young and old for some craic agus ceoil.

"The Glyde Inn restores our faith in quality pub food offering good value and good service."
