Get ready for an afternoon of Viking adventure at The Glyde Inn as we welcome Boyne Valley Events & Lakes Vikings for a special Viking Day celebrating the fascinating Viking history of Annagassan and the surrounding Boyne Valley.

Come along and meet the Vikings, discover how they lived, worked and travelled, and get involved in a fantastic afternoon of Viking-themed activities and experiences.

Come face-to-face with Viking warriors and discover what life was really like in the Viking Age.

Explore Viking crafts and objects and chat with the experts about the skills, traditions and everyday life of the Vikings.

🏹 Viking Games Display
See traditional Viking games and activities brought to life with demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

🥽 Viking VR Experience
Step into the Viking world with an immersive Viking VR experience and experience history in a whole new way.

🌊 A Viking Village with a Viking Past

Annagassan has a fascinating Viking connection. In 841 AD, the Vikings established a longphort at nearby Linn Duachaill, making the area an important Viking settlement and trading centre.

This special event is a chance to bring that history to life right here in Annagassan.
